One thing this brings up is the cost of using new technology in the classroom. Many schools can not afford to have new technology. Any money the school gets it better spent on the basic before it starts upgrading. What is the point of having a computer lab, with a teacher to run it? How can we use the technology the students already have to save schools money? How can I require all my students to have cell phones, I can not require them to have calculators? If the school can not supply, and the family can not supply, is it fair to require?
